A local scallywag has raised a few eyebrows this evening as he begins to post daily updates from his adventures in the US
Having just touched down in Los Angeles, the Instagram stories of one Ethan Mitchell (26) have ruffled a few feathers, mainly because it’s well known that he owes more than a few people in town money.
Having developed a reputation for his fast and loose lifestyle, Ethan’s inability to hold down a stable job has meant he’s often asking his social media followers for leads for labouring work, or is advertising his “events business” which pretty much involves him booking himself out to DJ at house parties.
So with minimal cash trickling in, questions are being asked this week about how on earth he can afford to jet overseas to the NRL in Las Vegas round, a trip that’d definitely cost him over $8,000.
“That prick still owes me $350 from the end of year footy trip!” Shane Berrigan, the 3rd grade captain for the Betoota Dolphins told The Advocate.
“He’s the last one on my list to square up, and he left me on seen over Christmas.”
Judging by Ethan’s Instagram stories, his cash flow isn’t stopping him from living it up in the States given so far he’s posted a four day bender in LA punctuated with a trip to Universal Studios.
And now that he’s begun posting pictures from the glitter strip and the NRL fanfare happening in Vegas, Ethan’s stories are really beginning to piss off his friends and family.
“He didn’t get me anything for my birthday last week, he said money was tight,” Ethan’s sister Shanelle told our reporter.
“Plus he borrowed my car the other day and returned it with the fuel light on, and all I see every morning is him pissing cash up the wall eating at buffet restaurants or buying bottle service.”
“He better not get arrested over there, cos I ain’t paying to bail him out!”
