Despite taking home a staggering seven Oscar wins, it can be confirmed that Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer has nothing on the 2012 fantasy epic, Breaking Dawn Part 2, which features a scene that is no doubt seared in the brain of every millennial woman.
Speaking to one such woman, Betoota Heights local Lily Plunkett, 29,,The Advocate learns why the Twilight sequel was so memorable, and why it deserved way more awards than Nolan’s epic biographical thriller.
“I remember it like it was yesterday”, explains Lily, practically shivering at the thought, “I went to see it in the cinema with my boyfriend at the time.”
“When I tell you the whole cinema GASPED.”
“Someone even screamed.”
“..it was me.”
Lily is of course referring to the scene where the villain Aro beheads Carlisle Cullen, which is later revealed to be Alice’s premonition.
“I thought the director made some sort of weird creative decision because that WAS NOT in the books.”
“When I tell you how relieved I was when it was revealed to be a premonition.”
“I was so stressed.”
More to come.
