A woman who doesn’t get out much has concluded it might be time to join a bouldering community, after having multiple friendly chats with ladies sporting carabiners on their belt buckles last night.
Renee Cameron, 32, says she was blown away by how welcoming the bouldering community is, and that after months of oohing and aahing about starting a new hobby, she might just have found her new favourite past time!
“I stopped by this dive bar that was advertising $4 Fireball promo shots, and ended up having the BEST time”, says Renee, her eyes lighting up as she recounted the interaction, “there were these lovely ladies sitting at the bar, and they just welcomed me with open arms.”
“I ended up staying until midnight.”
Renee says she assumes the women must be into bouldering due to their ‘attire’, which was mostly loose fitting jeans, open collared shirts, white tank tops, and keys on a carabiner.
“They were dressed very practically, so I assume they must have just come from bouldering.”
Renee says she’s since been invited to a board game night and a burlesque show with her new friends.
“I really think this is the start of a beautiful friendship.”
