Emma Spring (29), a veteran waitress, has admitted to taking delight in leading on hungry male patrons by walking in their direction with multiple plates of food before hooking a sharp turn and giving the food to someone else.

“It’s the sparkle in their eye that I really just get a kick out of, sometimes you even get some drool out of them” Emma explained.

“Then the turn, you just get such a defeated look out of them. It’s half the reason why I still even do this job.”

In the wake of Emma’s confession, a bizarre and somewhat paranoid frenzy has erupted among male patrons, who are now convinced that this is part of a larger, sinister scheme.

Conspiracy theories have been swirling, with some suggesting that the café is part of an underground network where wait staff are trained to perform these psychological tricks as part of a secret agenda.

“They’re playing with our heads! I know they do it on purpose!” Said Dylan Roche (44), a reluctant ‘Sunday morning with girlfriend cafe goer’.

For now, many men are left to navigate their dining experience with a heightened sense of suspicion after Emma’s shocking confession.

More to come.
