Sitting just outside the final eight, stress is at an all time high in the Bush Capital, with coach Sticky Ricky Stuart just as stressed as his fans are.
While the Raiders need to win all five of their remaining games to have a chance of playing finals, their remarkably on-and-off form this season must be making life tough for the long-suffering Ricky Stuart.
After years of moneyball by Stuart and the coaching staff, the 2018 Raiders side actually isn’t that bad, when compared to some of the dud teams he has inherited since taking the Sydney Roosters to a premiership in his first season as first grade coach in 2002.
The Raiders, who are up against the Panthers in a couple hours at Penrith, are the definition of a rollercoaster NRL team – providing very high highs and very low lows for their club, fans, and of course Ricky.
