Celebrations are breaking out across the premier state as New South Wales claims its second State of Origin series win in 12 years with Sydney festivities getting particularly rowdy over several schooners of hot chocolate.

Blues fan Ollie Henderson (28) stated he knew he was going to have a big night if New South Wales won and stated he might even score a few ‘cookies’ if they did. The cookies were later revealed to be Anzac biscuits and a packet of Monte Carlos.

“Going big!” exclaimed the overjoyed fan using his inside voice.

Making his way to his local pub, Henderson immediately offered to buy the first round of hot chocolates after leading his friends in a group prayer to thank God for helping them win Origin.

From there the night digressed into an all-out celebration with reports of a game of truth or dare taking place as well as two men being caught in a bathroom stall sharing a bag of white powder that was found to be Wizz Fizz.

Henderson also claimed police showed up later to make sure people were not pushing in at the bar and saying please and thank you to the staff.

The night was tragically cut short when one patron reportedly yelled ‘you suck’ at a friend and everyone had to go home at 10:39 pm.

“Not bad though. We really should have been in bed by then anyway.”

One person who is not happy with the evening of celebrations is NSW premier Gladys Berijiklian.

“That is not how we’re supposed to celebrate here,” said the premier who was also still a little sad that Vivid is over for another year.

“They were met to go to the casino and have a mental one there. Good thing we’re opening a second one. You here that Melbourne? We’re going to have two casinos!”

The City of Melbourne was unable to comment as they were unable to hear the NSW premiers comments over the sound of their youthful, fun, live music.
