The Indian Cricket Team have received some encouraging words from Liberal Democrat Senator David Leyonhjelm this morning.
The libertarian senator from NSW issued a statement this morning wishing all the ‘young brown men’ luck in the cricket today.
“Good luck to the young brown men taking part in the test match down in Adelaide today, I hope that you enjoy your time in a first world country and play to your best ability without doing anything that might anger old boomers like me on the field,” Leyonhjelm said this morning.
“I also hope the nations taxi drivers, the convenience store attendants, and the delivery drivers enjoy the game too,” said the man who seemingly has no idea who works in the nations hospitals, office buildings, and almost every other industry in the country other than the white echo chamber of politics that is the Canberra bubble.
His comments today come after he gave a condescending, patronising and weirdly racist speech to the senate yesterday thanking the ‘young brown men’ of this country for their contribution and their service to him.
“They drive me in their Ubers and taxis. They deliver my online purchases, my groceries and my pizza. And they serve me at my local 7-Eleven, at my local service station, and my local restaurants,” he said in the speech which has since been slammed.
However in true libertarian and old white boomer fashion, Leyonhjelm has refused to retract his comments and since double down this morning issuing the second statement directed at the Indian cricket team and potentially, Usman Khawaja.
“I don’t understand what is wrong with making sweeping statements about people based on the colour of their skin,” Leyonhjelm said.
“This country is being held hostage by the socialists PC fascists,” said Leyonhjelm.
