It has been confirmed this morning that Rugby Union star Israel Folau is very lucky it’s a World Cup year.
This confirmation comes after the arguably most valuable player on the field for Australia took to Instagram last night to post an appalling meme about ‘gay people going to hell.’
With Rugby Australia officially ‘investigating’ the latest social media post from the homophobic and hypocritical footy player whose got a habit of saying inflammatory shit, it’s yet to be seen if the fact the Rugby World Cup takes place this year will save him.
An anonymous insider at the Rugby organisation told The Advocate exclusively this morning that the everyone has been forced to come in at 9am like the rest of the nation’s office people and the employees are not looking forward to having to actually do something.
“If only we were as good at defusing these situation as Izzy is at defusing spiralling bombs from the All Blacks,” said the insider wiping the sleep out of his eyes.
“He’s our best player, if he was just a random Super Rugby level guy obviously he’d be out the door immediately.”
“And if he did it next year he’d be gone immediately, but we have to balance money versus morals like any organisation these days you now.”
“But it’s a World Cup Year, and we are still trying to figure out if our hands are tied you know. We’ll just have to wait and see how many of our limited remaining sponsors threaten to pull out.”
“Fuck”
“Anyway I better do something now.”
