There’s some exciting news for Wallabies fans today, with revelations a Wallaby great could be interested in making a comeback to the Green and Gold.
Following the recent success of James O’Connor and Quade Cooper, reports have emerged that Kurtley Beale is keen to get the Hot Tub Boys back together.
The Hot Tub Boys were a part of the Wallabies a few years ago, who came under fire for some old red-nosed toffs thinking they were too flashy and arrogant to be elite footy players.
Their perceived ‘young millennial arrogance’ galvanized the old guard strongest when Quade Cooper posted a picture of the boys living it up on his Instagram in 2013.
The three were deemed ‘Bad Boys,’ despite doing absolutely nothing compared to the likes of plenty of other professional athletes at home and abroad.
However, with the maturing of the rugby community who are realising a bit of personality isn’t actually a bad thing, die-hard rugby fans are now calling for a reunion.
Kurtley’s show of interest comes as the Wallabies get set to head to the Northern Hemisphere to roll through some teams who play a shit variation of rugby that focuses on kicking the ball away and being ok at lineout and scrum time.
The x-factor fly half, centre and fullback has been playing in the French League, but is reportedly keen to link up with his mates and tear some boring northern hemisphere teams to pieces.
The latest boost comes as the Wallabies string together their third win in a row, including two over the World Champion Springboks – which kind of makes us the best team in the world if you think about it.
They’ll play the Argentinians one final time, before heading over to take on England, Japan, Scotland, and Wales.
More to come.
