The rise of Samoans in the UFC has led to a sudden rebranding for the global MMA promotion, ahead of UFC293 in Sydney this Sunday.

Formerly known as Ultimate Fighting Championship, the competition is now being referred to as ‘Usos Flogging Cunts’ Or the ‘Ultimate Fasi Compilation’ – after Dana White unveiled a main event packed with Islanders.

The fight card features a series of MMA bouts featuring the best of the best from Australia and New Zealand, with a vast majority of local fighters tracing their family tree bag to the islands of Samoa and American Samoa.

From Auckland, to Logan, to Mount Druitt – the heartlands of Australian mixed martial arts will be cheering the loudest as they watch their hometown boys throw hands and grapple with some of the scariest opponents to ever attain an Australian subclass 408 temporary sporting activity visa.

This marks a return to glory moment for Sydney as well, after being outmatched for UFC hosting duties by Perth since the start of the pandemic.

This time around, the card is stacked with heavyweight and light heavyweight Samoan-Australians and Samoan-Kiwis, hence the UFC now standing for Uso Flogging Cunts.

In the co-main event, World Number 6 Bam Bam Tuivasa of Australia takes on World Number 8 Alexander Volkov at heavyweight.

Joining the naughtiest uce in Western Sydney is Logan’s steel windmill, Justin ‘Badman’ Tafa (6-3) – who’ll be taking on Austen Lane (12-3) of the United States at heavyweight as well.

However, the opening act of the card will be Tyson ‘Kanga Banger’ Pedro (9-4) of Western Sydney taking on Anton Turkalj (8-2) of Sweden at light heavyweight.

Of the Prelims, the Auckland-based ‘Nordic Uso’ Carlos Ulberg will be taking on the Korean Da Woon Jung in what many predict will be as violent as it is fast.

Speaking to The Betoota Advocate today, Bam Bam Tuivasa says it’s gonna be an uso-packed weekend for Western Sydney, with the Penrith Panthers taking on the equally uso-heavy New Zealand Warriors in the NRL play-offs at home.

“I just want everyone to make sure they hydrate between the NRL and the UFC afterparty in Penrith on Sunday night” said Tuivasa.

His brother and baby uncle Tyson Pedro agrees.

“CHE HOOOOOOOOO!” said Pedro.
