The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson spoke this morning to Scott Morrison where they discussed how the Australian Prime Minister was able to crush the Victorian outbreak in just a matter of a few short months.
Mr Johnson is staring down the barrel of having a country under lockdown over the Christmas break – which is something he promised the British people wouldn’t be nessecary earlier this year during the first lockdown.
It was an honour, Scott Morrison told this masthead, to share his wisdom with Boris Johnson ahead of the British people’s second lockdown.
“It was nice to speak to Boris, who’s doing his best for the British people,” said Scott.
“But yeah, mate. Look, it’s not good over there but I just gave him a few tips and some helpful adbice about crushing outbreaks and that, which my government did in Victoria just a few weeks ago,”
“So the first thing is, you need to listen to the science. Put trust in people who know what they’re talking about. Then you’ve got to make sure you’re supporting business and the workers. Very important there. You need to make sure the workers are OK. The exeuctives and the board are rich enough to treat water financially for a few months,”
“But yeah, look. It’s just the small things like making sure you’re exercising and eating healthy. Getting enough sleep and that jazz. Yeah, look. My mate Boris should be fine. He’s had this virus so he knows how crook it makes you. Just two blokes, working hard and sharing war stories,”
“That’s all it was.”
More to come.
