The most successful soccer player in Australian history, and the greatest women’s soccer player in the world, Sam Kerr has walked free from a London court overnight after being cleared of racially aggravated harassment of a police officer by a jury.
Meanwhile, the police officer at the centre of the allegations has been found guilty of being an absolute soft cock.
The Matilda’s captain was charged after calling a Metropolitan Police officer “fucking stupid” and “white” during a drunken row at Twickenham police station early in the morning on January 30, 2023.
The drama followed an argument with a cab driver who had redirected the women away from their intended destination at 3 am, with the doors locked.
After reviewing the context of the incident, it seems that jury thought it was more than acceptable for Sam Kerr to be talking to the police officer like that, after making it clear that she and her female partner both felt like their lives were in danger as two seperate men completely removed them of their agency, in a city that had witnessed a uniformed police officer murdering a woman in very similar circumstances just a year earlier.
But still, it was the fragile London bobby who felt like the real victim here.
It appears this complaint never was actualised until the officer saw Sam Kerr making global news during the Matilda’s historic world cup finals dash in 2023 – at which point he decided he wanted his 5 minutes of fame.
However, it hasn’t gone exactly as planned for the big fella, with the jury now finding him guilty of being a soft cock.
