As the debate about the opening of borders and travel bubbles rages on, the residents of the Bondi and Byron bubbles have today entered the chat.
Waverley Council and Byron Shire Council have decided to advocate on the most pressing issue facing their constituents right now, the lack of opportunity to go on a holiday.
With New Zeland explaining that they are a little way off agreeing to a travel bubble with Australia, and probably a destination of little interest to the residents of Bondi and Byron, the two councils have begun voicing their concerns about not being able to do whatever they want.
“It’s not that hard, just allow a bubble between the three regions,” explained the spokesperson for the area’s, Bondi local turned Byron local Olivia Thompson-Smith.
“Like, obviously don’t let any of the bogans from outside those areas descend on Bali. No Jetstar flights allowed” laughed the Essential Oils importer and beauty products importer.
“It’s so inconvenient right now. The government is making all this noise about health, and for people like me, getting away to recharge on a yoga retreat in a cheap expensive resort is important for my health.”
“If you look at in a holistic sense.”
“So yeah, I think we should be allowed to get on a plane and go back and forth between those three regions ASAP. My spirit is in need of it,” explained the spiritual woman whose husband works as an executive at NAB.
“Bondi, Byron, Bali, now!”
