The Wuhan coronavirus has reportedly been exposed to our nation’s premier low-cost air carrier, Tigerair, in a tragic twist of fate.
Queensland Health today confirmed a 44-year-old man infected with the virus had travelled with Tigerair on January 27 on flight TT566 from Melbourne to the Gold Coast.
A spokesperson from Queensland Health addressed the media this afternoon in Sydney, where they outlined how the exposure took place.
“We can confirm that the Wuhan coronavirus and the man infected with it was exposed to Tigerair,” they said.
“This is a serious problem. Travelling on Tigerair is something people have to do, not something they want to do. This man was flying on Tiger because he looked in his bank account and sighed. To add insult to injury, he also has the coronavirus, which can make you really sick,”
“We’d like to extend an apology on behalf of our organisation and the relevant national parent body to the coronavirus and it’s host meatsack for exposing it to Tigerair. We are taking steps to make sure this never happens again.”
The Advocate reached out to Tigerair for comment but have yet to receive a reply. However, they might leave a comment under this article on Facebook or Instagram that will only further discredit their brand.
