A local Betoota woman is counting her lucky stars after getting a brand new packet of dental floss for Kris Kringle this morning.
Steph Parch, an accountant at local Betoota accountancy firm Watson, Watson, and Watson (Unrelated), has spoken of her joy at receiving such a thoughtful and deeply personalised gift from her secret Santa.
“This is honestly amazing”, said Parch. “Just the other day, I was mentioning to some people that I have teeth. Looks like someone was paying attention!”
“I thought *I* had done a great job – I got Jenny from Legal a gold-plated ring made from combining her birthstone with a 12 carat diamond – one for each month we’ve known each other – along with signed first edition copy of Paddington Bear, her favourite book growing up. But this is great!”
Parch, who’s had a difficult year at work, is hoping this beautiful gift is a sign that her fortunes are starting to look up.
“Look, it hasn’t always been easy this year”, said a teary Parch.
“I mean, it would have been nice if Jenny responded to at least one of my emails. And it would have been nice to have some money and not spend it all on my gift? Maybe”
“But if there’s one thing this dental floss tells me, it’s that people are really starting to take notice of me!”
