ICAC is today continuing their investigation into whether Gladys Berejiklian breached public trust while advocating for a multi-million-dollar grant in her dodgy ex-boyfriend’s electorate.
The inquiry has heard that Ms Berejiklian’s office took a ‘particular interest’ in a $5.5m grant to a Wagga Wagga clay target shooting club
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is considering whether there was a potential conflict of interest created, given her secret relationship with the local Wagga MP, Mr Daryl Maguire.
However, today Ms Berejiklian has told the corruption watchdog that there is no way she could have know that a $5.5 million grant was too much money to give to the Australian Clay Target Association’s shoot club.
“I’m sorry… But are you aware of how much money the Baird government spent getting that fucken Crown casino built in Barangaroo?” Berejiklian asked investigators today.
“Or that fucking light rail that no one uses down Queen street.”
“Four point three fucken billion dollars when it was all said and done. For what? So some private contractors could shut down our CBD for two years?”
“And you’re asking me about the 5 rocks we gave to these toothless hicks who wanna shoot their rifles at fake pigeons”

The inquiry has found that in late 2016, the shooting club’s grant proposal received conditional approval from a cabinet committee chaired by then-treasurer Ms Berejiklian, who went on to become premier in January 2017, the third Liberal premier in five years, after the previous two resigned in very similar circumstances.
However, Berejiklian says that when you’re a cabinet member in a state government that spends money like a coked up Idol contestant, you stop asking questions about who actually needs it.
