Local Gold Coast retail employee Ash Moore (31) says the sky is feeling a bit heavier today.
Ash says all the fashion choices she has ever made right up to this point in her life have been inspired by one man, who is no longer with us.
This follows the news that German-born haute couture designer Karl Lagerfeld, artistic director at Chanel and an icon of the global fashion industry for over half a century, has died at age 85.
The former Sin City door girl says 2019 is off to a shocking start.
“First it was Lee Radiziwill, now this!?”
“All of my style icons are dropping like flies. Who’s next? Lady Wintour?”
As Ash points out, she’s always been a big fan of designer brands, moving from Gucci to Chanel like five years ago, and pretty much only ever wearing Roxy before that.
“xX . RIP . Karl . Lagerfield . xX (sic)” posts Ash.
“A true icon of the fashoin world and one of my favourite designers in the world”
With the greater Gold Coast now pushing close to 32 degrees celsius, a solemn Ash is mentally preparing her outfit for tonight’s drinks with the girls, complete with her Goldie-style gold and turquoise colour-blocking-earrings and necklaces pairing perfectly with the knock off Chanel handbag she bought in Kuta five years ago.
