Lovers of discriminating against religious people are walking tall this afternoon, after it was revealed we can still call the members of our parliament a bunch of bible-bashing pedo protectors.
This follows an overnight marathon sitting, where the coalition’s religious discrimination bill passed the lower house of parliament, but hasn’t made it to the senate.
The bill is now set to be let go like an offer of a catchup with an old acquatinace from work, and comes as a disappointment to the 19% of Australians who think certain parts of the bill are worth pursuing.
While the government has been called out for pushing a bill that empowers religious fueled bigotry instead of doing something about aged care or this little thing called a pandemic, those in the know are seeing this time as a reminder for what it is.
“I can’t believe they took the time off protecting peadophiles to do this shit!” said local atheist William Kerr who is even less tolerable than his usual self right now.
“Didn’t your precious Jesus, who was Middle Eastern by the way, didn’t he say to ‘love one another?’ How is telling an unmarried woman she can’t live in your investment property loving one another you pedo hiding, mixed fabric wearing fake Chrisitians!”
“Who was this bill even for? Fucking Dom Perrottet is against it and that Pope loving child generator looks like the chairman of the ACU self flagellation society!”
“And don’t just call out Catholicism! Other religions deserve a serve as well! Such as [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]”
At the time of writing, Morrison is yet to formally confirm that they won’t be bringing the religious discrimination bill back later in the year given there’s only 4 more days of parliament for the next 6 months.
Which is a pretty weird call for a party obsessed with lowering unemployment and creating jobs through their policies.
