Close friends of the New South Wales Premier say that they are now confident that the embattled Liberal party figure is slowly putting to bed the drama of the last fortnight, and is now finally able to live her truth.

“She’s having a bit of a glow up” says close friend, Stacey.

“I just hope people get to know her story, not just her name”

Despite sympathetic treatment from the 70% of the Australian media market that is owned by Rupert Murdoch, Gladys Berejiklian has been unable to avoid headlines as she is dragged into the state government’s most recent Independent Commission Against Corruption inquiry.

Legal experts have warned that Berejiklian is likely to have breached the state’s ministerial code of conduct by failing to disclose her secret relationship with the disgraced former Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire.

In the ICAC witness box last week, the Hot Mess Gladys defined her involvement with Maguire as a “close personal relationship” but said it had not been of “sufficient status” to disclose.

But on Sunday, Berejiklian said in an interview with Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph she had been in love with Maguire, comments that contradicted another interview she did on the same day with Ben Fordham on 2GB, where she said things had never been that serious.

However, the chaos of the ICAC inquiry, which is in now way finished, may now be distant memory for Hot Mess Gladys.

Speaking to the media at some sort of infrastructure announcement today, the NSW Premier was unable to hide the new cursive text tattooed on her wrist.

The tattoo, which was still glowing red from the appointment earlier today, appears to be a reference the famous Beatles song “Let It Be”.

While Hot Mess Gladys refused to comment on the new body art, friends say she really shouldn’t have to spell it out for us.

“How do you not get it?” says another friend from netball, Arabella

“She’s letting that stage of her life go”

“Darly. The ICAC inquiry. The spilt berry smoothie. She just wants to move on”

“And so should all of you journalists”

MORE TO COME.
