As New South Wales bids a hopeful farewell to hotel quarantine, one patriot feels like they got the short end of the deal.

Navy recruitment officer Jackie Eldridge (32), the last Australian to use hotel quarantine, told The Advocate she feels rather stung after checking out of a hotel in Sydney’s CBD yesterday and getting hit with a shocker of a mini bar bill.

According to Eldridge, during her two weeks of hotel quarantine she only drank one can of Coke and not the 60,000 cans she is alleged to have consumed, along with 80,000 litres of vodka, gin and other spirits.

“When [they showed me] the receipt I couldn’t believe it,” stated Eldridge.

“There is no way I would have paid $12 for a pack of cashews, let alone one hundred packets of cashews.”

As the situation continues to unfold without a resolution, Eldridge has gone public with her stance that she could not have drunk that much in two weeks and has in fact got stuck with the bill for all hotel quarantine guests since this madness started.

Management at the hotel however are insisting that someone is responsible for the mini bar tab and are urging Eldridge to foot the bill immediately.

“You’ve got to get up pretty early to pull one over us like that,” stated hotel manager Riley Duck.

“Obviously she does not remember drinking that much, no one would, did you see how much grog she drank?”

“Her, or her and her friends”

“I’m not sure”

“But someone has to pay for this and both the State and Federal government are saying it’s not gonna be them”

MORE TO COME.
