A local giant has today gone through the same paces he does every time he gets into an Uber by himself. That is, sitting in the front seat with his knees pressed against the dash until the driver notices and tells him how to make himself more comfortable.
The big boy, Jack Dickson (31) is just over two metres tall and pushing a buck-ten, he says it was much easier to park himself in side taxi cabs because they were all pretty much the same model car.
“Uber is pretty much any vehicle made after 2011 with four seats” he says.
“Which means there are a bunch of Hyundais and Hondas pulling up in front of my house that I need to learn my way around”
“Do you know how to adjust the seat of a Getz? It’s not as easy as you’d think”
Jack says after finding no luck with his initial fiddle under the front of the seat and down the left hand side, he is usually forced to sit squished in the front seat until the Uber driver looks at him.
In this most recent trip, it’s take more than ten minutes.
“You comfortable, mate?” asks the driver comedically.
“Jeez you’re a big unit! Ha ha ha”
“Just press this button here if you wanna slide back”
