A local bloke with an extensive Warhammer 40K collection has sweated bullets today, after his wife commented they were just ‘20k’ away from a house deposit, which is a shame since she’s really quite worried they’ll be another interest hike in November.
Having amassed roughly $25,000 worth of Warhammer miniatures over the past several years, Sam Wenham, 32, tells The Advocate that he’s desperately trying to stay under the radar, stating that Kelsey has no idea of the money pile they’re sitting on.
“She’s always supported my Warhammer, but I know for a fact that she doesn’t know how much it costs”, admits Sam, “in my defence, none of it has been paid for with shared account expenses.
“But still, I’m aware it’s a lot of money.”
Sam says that he believes his figurines would have gone up in value over the years, seeing as he’s collected quite a lot of limited edition models and sealed boxes.
“Plus, the ones I’ve handpainted are quite the work of art”, he boasts, “I have the hands of a surgeon.”
Sam says he hopes that Kelsey simply forgets about the whole housing deposit thing, because he’d rather rent forever than give up his Mars Pattern Warhound Titan.
More to come.
