A local woman has today informed our reporter of some very helpful money-saving tips that won’t require a change in lifestyle.
Kim Walker [25] is said to have cultivated these learnings through years of impulsive spending and has so far managed to get by mostly unscathed – especially with the use of a credit card.
Stating that she was only overdrawn twice this year, Kim reveals that the secret to saving money is pretending you aren’t spending any. A tactic that is a lot better than looking at your account on a Monday, and seeing that you’ve spent way more on booze than you intended.
“I had a lot of anxiety because I knew I’d spent money but I didn’t know I’d spent THAT much”, says Kim.
“I just can’t deal with that stress in my life anymore.”
Covering the top of her Commbank app with a hand, Kim says she can still send money to mates if she needs to, without seeing all the cash she’s blown.
“I just try to use both my debit card and credit card, keep the money spread out you know.”
More to come.
