In Betoota’s French Quarter, account manager Gretchen Steasley (27) may have made her first step on a slippery slope as she adopted a gateway cat.
After needing her stomach lining surgically replaced following years of living in a loose sharehouse, Steasley decided to go solo and live it up in a one bedroom apartment.
As the joy of doing housework naked faded away and the feelings of loneliness crept in, Steasley made the decision to adopt a rescue cat named Muffin to keep her company.
“Crazy cat lady in training!” joked Steasley in her Instagram post debuting her gateway cat.
“Follow him @bestboymuffin.”
Watching the followers roll in for her feline housemate who she’s pretty sure doesn’t even like her yet, Steasley received the social affirmations she needs to get as into cats as she bloody well wants.
“Hmmmmm…I might need another to keep Muffin company all day…”
“I shouldn’t rush into it, I really need to think it through – ooooh! This one has floofy little ears!”
