A woman not in the mood for harsh self reflection has sought reassurance from her equally unhinged best friend today, after making a series of poor decisions on the weekend that resulted in some horrific hangxiety.
Still battling anxiety two days after the incident, Anna Brixton says she was faced with either doing some harsh self reflection or asking her dramatic bestie, Lucy, if ‘it was really that bad.’
Knowing full well that her bestie would find some way to be on her side.
“I might have caused a bit of a scene at my boyfriend’s birthday dinner”, Anna sheepishly admits, “in my defence, I’d had a few drinks.”
Anna explains that she got a bit hot headed when she saw her boyfriend being quite friendly with a girl she’d never met, resulting in some pretty heated accusations in front of a few family members.
“Ah, so yeah, it was his cousin and they hadn’t seen each other in over a year.”
“How was I supposed to know, though?”
However, Anna says Lucy was able to quickly put her anxiety to ease, as ‘people root their cousins all the time.’
“She told me to trust my womanly intuition, and you know what?”
“She’s so right.”
More to come.
