Local baker assistant, Kiki Paterson (23) has today clarified that, no, she does not love you.
Kiki says ever since Drake’s new album came out, her cute childhood nickname, which is a variation of her given name Nakita, holds very little sentimental value.
“In My Feelings” is a song by Canadian musician Drake from his fifth studio album Scorpion (2018). It became a rhythmic and contemporary hit radio on July 10, 2018 as the album’s fifth single.
Opening with the lyrics “Kiki, do you love me?” the song has since ended up becoming somewhat of a viral trend, with even it’s own dance and ‘Kiki challenge’.
The part-time uni student from Betoota’s French Quarter says after nearly two months of relentlessly unoriginal one-liners, she’s ready to change her name to something less unique, like Becky.
“But that would mean I would become Becky with the good hair” she says.
“I was also thinking Evie, but then I realised that would just result in everyone telling me to let my hair hang down”
Kiki says as someone who works the counter at a prominent produce retailer, the amount of fucking morons who think they’ve cracked an original, kind of creepy joke, is immeasurable.
“I can now fully appreciate why my brother Alan hated that video with the meerkats so much”
“I wouldn’t mind it if the song wasn’t about some dude obsessing over a girl who clearly isn’t into him”
