A local woman has confirmed today that she isn’t quite ready to go all in on the whole Kombucha thing.
Kombucha is a form of fermented green tea which has recently ridden a wave of success all the way into mainstream supermarkets on the basis that it tastes weird enough that it should probably be healthy.
However a young yuppie from Betoota’s trendy French Quarter explained that although she has had sizeable Christmas/New Year Break in terms of food and alcohol, she isn’t quite ready to attack her ‘gut health’ front on.
Ashley Martin-Smith (24) told us this morning that after feeling a little burnt out and run down she decided to give the Kombucha a go, but couldn’t push through.
“Yeah I feel like I’m not running at 100% so I just thought that maybe I’d give some super healthy 6$ a bottle Kombucha a go,” she said.
“I mean I don’t really know what it does and what it’s health benefits are but I’ve heard and seen that it’s good for you, particularly good for gut health, which is very important I think.”
“However I couldn’t get through it, I really does tastes like it’s healthy and good for you, but it was just a bit much at 9am in the morning.”
Martin-Smith explained that she might revisit it later on down the track, but at the moment, her gut health isn’t worrying enough yet to fully commit to a whole bottle.
