It can be confirmed that every millennial woman who watched the movie ‘Practical Magic’, still harbours desires to build an exact replica of the Owens sister’s house should they ever get their hands on a cool $10 million.
The gothic Victorian mansion, which sadly only ever existed as an architectural shell that was immediately torn down after filming, has continued to beguile women for decades, beating out other notable ‘dream home’ contenders such as The Halliwell manor from ‘Charmed’ and the cottage from ‘The Holiday.’
Speaking to a few millennial women, The Advocate learns that building the Practical Magic house would be the first thing they’d do, should they ever win the lotto.
“I yearn to live a life of whimsy”, admits Betoota Ponds woman Agatha Dahling, 32, who admits she was obsessed with ‘any and every witch movie’ that came out in the 90s, “all of my life’s problems would be solved, if I lived in a gothic mansion.”
“I’d give anything to traipse around the Practical Magic kitchen barefoot. ”
“Or attending to my potions in the greenhouse.”
Another woman, Nara Mikaelson, 33, echoes this statement, saying that the movie kickstarted her decades long obsession with anything remotely ‘whimsy goth or dark academia.’
“Hocus Pocus, A Simple Wish, Buffy, Sabrina, Charmed…The CRAFT!”
“Gosh, what is Fairuza Balk up to these days?”
“I miss her.”
More to come.
