From Mt Isa, to The Curry, to the Southern suburbs of Cairns and the Northern suburbs of Townsville – the voters from within the
567,377 square kilometre Kennedy electorate all share the same concern.
Namely, the fact that those bastards down south in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra are trying to sneak one past them.
With the Banking Royal Commission revealing the same shit that everyone had thought it would reveal, it is for good reason that the people of the Deep North West don’t subscribe to the two-party system.
As the nation goes to the polls, Australian voters are now finally given the choice between two options. Scott Morrison and lower taxes, or Bill Shorten and similar taxes but more concessions.
However, up north, they are voting on policy: Keeping those bastards down south honest – according to a new poll by The Betoota Advocate.
And Bob Katter seems to be the only politician willing to put himself out there and make sure they stay honest and not selling Australia off to the Chinese, according to the 50,000 survey respondents in the Kennedy Electorate.
While that seems to be the strongest policy aligned with Bob Katter III – he is also making traction with his 30,000 page policy regarding crocodile culling, and another 20,000 pages on providing pressure on the government to give ethanol-fuel a go.
Also, more resources for the farmers after flood and drought. Also, more funding to provide security details for Jewish primary school’s in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.
Also, he wants to discuss the possibility of carving a canal through the centre of Australia to alter the biodiversity in the Outback.
“I agree with all those things” says Sheldon Griffith (60) of Charters Towers.
“And Bob seems like a good bloke. My cousin used to play footy with him”
