As the fallout from the Bulldogs Mad Monday continues, a growing number of NRL fans have voiced their disapproval at the incident and its coverage.

While some are nonplussed about a group of blokes giving it a nudge, many others are up in arms about the shenanigans.

This comes after some journo’s desperate for a story found a good vantage point to snap some photographs of the Bulldog’s team and their coaching staff enjoying themselves yesterday.

Seemingly learning from the pasts atrocities, the Bulldogs booked a private, but licensed area and made sure club officials were watching over the boys to ensure the carry on didn’t go too far.

However, this hasn’t stopped some fans for blasting the group for acting like NRL players.

Greg Townsend, a Canterbury local hit out at his team for disgracing the club in a public statement today.

“These boys, have gone and done exactly what footy players have been doing for years, behaving like footy players,” Townsend said ignoring the fact that the current crop haven’t assaulted anyone, or caused any innocent members of the public harm, unlike many of their predecessors.

“It’s almost like they are paid to be professional rugby league players. Unbelievable. At least no one was caught smoking cigarettes!”

However, Clayton Sims, the head of the “Bulldogs 4 Lyf” Facebook Group told us that there are also a lot of people supporting the players.

“Mate, this is the proudest I’ve been all year of those boys. From being in contention for the spoon a month or so ago, they’ve really shown as that they can turn things around and act like proper elite footballers,” Sims said.

“I’m looking forward to next year.”
