In some breaking news out of the harbour hell hole of Sydney, the music industry has just been informed that tonight’s party is off!
The annual industry awards held down at one of the only venues in the state where live music is still allowed, has officially been called off after NSW police spotted a man of Samoan descent walking through Circular Quay.
“Yes, unfortunately, we have had to shut this year’s ARIAs down,” explained Police Commissioner Mick Fuller.
“After what we’ve just seen, someone who might be part of, or know, or vaguely know one of the Western Sydney drill rap group known as OneFour may attend an event and we just can’t take the risk.”
This follows NSW Police’s campaign to shut down any of OneFour’s concerts in the city and intimidate anyone associated with the Western Sydney kids just trying to have a go, in a relentless pursuit to shut the group down.
“I think we’ve made it clear, we want war with Sydney’s realest,” explained the Commissioner.
“And that means we are going to go after a group of young men from the West of the town trying to have a crack.”
“They rap about violence, and people that glorify violence have no place in our society,” explained the cop who describes his favourite film as the 2008 Rambo.
An ARIAs spokesperson said they are currently scrambling to find another venue to host the awards, but given Sydney’s intolerance to groups of people going places and having fun, things are not looking promising.
More to come.
