As the southern state of New South Wales breathes a sigh of relief ahead of the first weekend where people who aren’t tradies get to see their mates, Premier Gladys Berejiklian has revealed how she made it happen.
Speaking from the Developers Republic Of Sydney, where construction is reportedly through the roof at the moment, Berjiklian explained that she managed to convince health experts to loosen the restrictions with a handy little ploy.
“I explained to them that it would be more of a gatho, rather than than a party,” she laughed to our reporter.
This comes after NSW prepares to allow 2 adults to enter other people’s houses for care or social reasons, (with as many kids as they have), as of Friday.
Using the oldest trick in the book to convince the people in charge to let you catch up with a few mates and have a lash, Berejiklian told the medical authorities that ‘it definitely wasn’t a party.’
“Just used the little trick from my childhood days, and told them that we should just allow a little gatho, that it wasn’t a big thing, and only a couple of people would be there, and like there would be other adults there and stuff,” she said, using the line of reasoning employed by 96% of the nation’s teenagers.
“So might be time to sneak a couple of cruisers over to a mate’s place, but responsibly, okay.”
