As the fallout continues from the Prime Minister’s ill-advised property purchase on the Cenny Coast, the nation’s Opposition leader has today confirmed that he’s keeping his head down.

“Yeah, gonna let the foot soldiers fire shots at Albo on this one,” laughed Peter Dutton.

“Not popping my chrome dome up to invite pot-shots about my 400 million dollar property and childcare portfolio,” said the former Queensland Cop (who’s yet to explain why he left the Queensland Police Force).

This comes as Prime Minister Albanese faces a barrage of headlines for getting his hot little hands on a $4.3 million dollar central coast beach house.

With the entire Labor caucus still trying to figure out why the big fella decided to purchase the luxury house at this exact moment in time – Albanese is still trying to figure out the angle he’ll take to the media.

While many would agree that it’s reasonable a Prime Minister live in a nice house, questions have been raised as to whether the purchase of a $4.3 million dollar property is proof that our political property investing class are a little bit out of touch with the everyday Australian.

That, coupled with the fact that pretty much every single politician owns multiple properties has also come as a bit of an explanation as to why the majority of them are not fussed about trying to fix the housing crisis.

“4.3 million is chump change,” laughed Dutton.

“But my people have told me that it’s actually quite a lot of money for average Australians, so I’m steering clear.”

Albanese has yet to provide the Advocate with comment on why as a kid who grew up in public housing, received a free university education and got a well-paying job, he is refusing to do anything to help a multitude of other Australians who are now being denied that opportunity.

More to come.
