A local finance bloke was left feeling a little red faced last weekend, after attempting to drunkenly slur his way through an Eminem song on a work Karaoke night.
Stumbling into the French Quarter’s premier Karaoke bar, The Fat Pigeon, at roughly 9pm, Jonathan Gant, 32, and the rest of the crew at Gooch Associates prepared themselves for a night filled absolutely butchering some millennial hits – with ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ being first one the menu.
Unfortunately, as the night progressed, a rum confident Jonathan could be seen scrolling through Eminem’s entire catalogue and bypassing the usual Karaoke go-tos, ‘Without Me’, and ‘The Real Slim Shady’ to try his hand at something a little more difficult – ‘Rap God’, which is so quick, it set a Guinness World Record for most words in a hit single.
Confidently taking the microphone, Jonathan could be heard getting through the first two verses relatively unscathed, before burning and crashing by the third verse, and completely collapsing onto the couch completely breathless – leaving roughly four and a half minutes of the song left to go on the karaoke machine.
More to come.
