The ultimate responsibility for the ongoing crisis in the Victorian aged care sector is Her Majesty The Queen’s, according to Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

As the Commonwealth has assumed all control and responsibility for the handling and operation of the Victorian aged care system, the buck stops with The Queen.

The Bigfella-in-Chief spoke candidly to The Advocate this morning via telephone where he explained how this government and responsiblity works.

“Look,” said Scott.

“The buck ultimately stops with The Queen because she is the head of the Commonwealth Government here in Australia,”

“I don’t make the rules, I’m only doing my best. At best, it’s a shared responsibility that exists between the Andrews Labor Government and Buckingham Palace. I’m just trying to do my best to be the messenger in all this. But at the same time, my government is taking control but we aren’t open to criticism yet, that should be directed to The Queen because she’s the boss,”

“Hope you understand.”

The Advocate reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment but have yet to receive a reply.

More to come.
