A Betoota Heights father of three has today revealed one of the major causes of this current energy crisis.

While he does admit the government has no control over our energy reserves because the current policies were written by resources lobbyists, Phil Graham has explained that consumers just aren’t helping.

With calls for consumers to cut down on their power use because multinational companies need to maximise their profits, Phil reckons there is one easy fix.

“Turn. The. Fuckkkkkkinnnggggggg powerpoints off if they aren’t being used,” said a frustrated Phil, who has made this weird niche rule a personal vendetta of his.

“It’s not that hard, it really isn’t. I don’t know why it is so difficult for my fucking idiot children who live off my wallet to get,” sighed Phil, as if the powerpoints are spewing like busted water main.

When asked about whether it should be on consumers to figure out the problem the unregulated private sector has created, Phil said he’s not sure.

“I know they are sending it all overseas, which is where I draw the line.”

“We need to look after our first,” said Phil, still too wound up about the empty switches being left on at the wall.

“But I just don’t get how hard it is?”

“If you unplug something, turn it off?”

“They don’t forget to check their phones every two minutes. How can they consistently forget this?”

“Because someone else is paying I guess,” he sighed drifting off into an angry brewing silence.

More to come.
