NSW mid north coast town Port Macquaire is one of the many communities ravaged by active bushfires in QLD and NSW.
Reports state emergency centres are overflowing with families and individuals in crisis.
It appears however that hope is on the smokey horizon for the region as good news comes not from the firies in the fields but from the man at the top.
As some evacuated locals gathered in an emergency centre, the children were frightened by the familiar face of the Prime Minister who popped through the open doorway carting with him a TV on wheels.Â
âLook what Iâve got!â exclaimed the Prime Minister.
âHowzat good? How good-zat, howzat is good, goodzat, uh…you ready to cheer for something, how good is howzat?â
After ‘apologising’ for his âdad brain,â the Prime Minister spent half an hour fiddling with various AV and HDMI cables before a teenager who used to have the same ones helped him out.
âThe day of salvation is here! Letâs go boys!â
Pointing the remote control towards himself, Mr Morrison failed to turn the volume up and resorted to playing the cricket on mute while attempting commentary.
âMarvellous, simply marvellous. Haha, you get in? Richie. They dress up as him sometimes in the crowd, did you know that?â
âOh the bowler is walking away, is it time for the tea break? Hang on, heâs running back! Heâs bowling! Heâs gonna throw it!”
The damage of active bushfires in Southern Queensland and Northern NSW has hit over $140 million dollars or the cost of about four drinks at the Gabba.
