“Nah fuck of ya dumb pricks” said an irate Scotty Cam trying to do his best wound up real-life actual tradie impression this afternoon.
The stern rebuttal was to the question of why he’s already pocketed 140ish grand for doing nothing other than a couple of social media posts/videos and a single appearance for all of the taxpayer cash he’s been given.
“Just look at it as a big deposit alright, I’m going to visit TAFE’s around the country later this year to encourage young kids to get into a vocational course rather than spend upwards of 20 grand on a degree that’s more than likely going to earn them a lower wage than as a tradie,” Cam said in his blokiest voice.
He then told us to ‘fuck off’ again.
The Block host was hired as the Nationals Careers Advisor last year so Scotty from Marketing could get in a pic with him and refine his blokey acting skills, and is set to pocket $347,000 from the gig – all without having to even go to the hassle of rigging pre-selection and getting elected.
“Geez, this bloke’s getting paid for doing fuck all without even having to go through the selection progress,” explained one local tradesman from Betoota Heights today.
“Not bad work if ya can get it, I mean I don’t think anyone here would be saying no to the gig,” he laughed.
