A federal senator went on television last night and made an absolute fool of himself.
Jim Molan, who replaced the now Ambassador to the United States Arthur Sinodinos in the upper house, was on Q&A last night to talk about the bushfires.
The responses he gave were largely unhinged and incoherent and audience members openly mocked him along with his fellow panellists.
This morning, the Liberal Party is in damage control.
In a statement to media this morning, the Prime Minister said Mr Molan will no longer be ‘doing media’ or giving comment on any matter what so ever.
“He’s been banished further away from the media than Prince Andrew is right now,” said Scott Morrison, who previously worked in the marketing sector.
“Which is pretty much to the Heard & McDonald Islands if you know where they are. Honestly, as if my job isn’t hard enough!”
“From today, you will never hear from or see that sucked mango seed brain ever again.”
The Advocate reached out to Jim Molan for comment but his media advisor is currently on remand at an undisclosed processing facility.
More to come.
