A re-elected member of the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party (SFF) has credited their use of CLR, a household cleaning product used for dissolving stains, such as calcium, lime, and iron oxide deposits, for its help in swaying voters away from The Nationals at the NSW state election over the weekend.
Speaking to the media from Orange, one of the great towns of inland Australia, the NSW Member for Orange, Philip Donato, said this year’s election result wouldn’t have been possible without the liberal use of CLR.
“We had water spreaders driving through the regional centres of New South Wales spreading a mixture of CLR and water,” he said.
“Over the past few years, the SFF has been slowing eating away at the National Party’s base and CLR really helped accelerate that. The giant swings against the Nats at last weekend’s election couldn’t have happened without the aid of CLR and for that, we are eternally grateful,”
“As we all know, a lot of regional Australians have blindly voted for the Nationals for years. Voted for a party that has lost its way, that’s been seduced by the mining and coal seam gas industry. Well, the people of the bush are starting to wake up and CLR has made their transition to SFF voters all the more easy.”
The Advocate reached out to the NSW Office of The Nationals for comment but have yet to receive a reply.
More to come.
