In some horrible news out of North-West Sydney’s Bible Belt today, a promising cadet journalist has been found murdered and chopped up into pieces out the back of a shopping centre not far from his place of work.
The victim, 25-year-old Hugo Manleghworf, is remembered as a spritely young man who had dreams of holding power to account and bringing the truth to the proletariat through the fourth estate.
Unfortunately, it seems that his eagerness to be a ‘real journalist’ may have been his undoing.
As an intern at the Murdoch-owned conservative propaganda machine Sky News, it is believed that Hugo had become ‘a little too familiar’ with the idea of reporting news that may be critical of the Coalition Government.
It is not yet known if Hugo was murdered and dismembered by Murdoch goons or Liberal Party staffers, but friends and family say that he had been growing concerned that he was unable to tell the difference between the two.
Anonymous whistleblowers who shared a newsroom with Hugo in the nearby Macquarie Park business estate say they had a feeling this day was going to come soon.
“He kept asking if we should do stories on how it’s not a good idea for our government to start trade wars with countries that make up 25% of our export market” said one terrified colleague.
“Paul Murray made it clear that he would never work in journalism again if he kept that up”
Another intern said he’d tried to warn Hugo to not be critical of the Prime Minister, but the young man was too committed to being half-decent journalist.
“I said to him, mate, who do you think orchestrated the $850 million tax rebate that Murdoch copped in 2014… The Liberals” said his grieving workmate.
“Who was it that intentionally destroyed the NBN so that print newspapers and Foxtel could limp on another decade until Murdoch pulled his finger out and got into streaming…. The Liberals”
“I told him to keep our employers interests in mind… But he wouldn’t listen goddamit! He was so loyal to this idea of fair and balanced journalism!!!”
Hugo’s funeral will be held at his local high school gymnasium this Friday, and is likely to be picketed by Quiet Australians who have been brainwashed into thinking his murder was a false flag operation aimed at discrediting the incredibly competent and honourable Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
Andrew Bolt has described the deceased as just another lunatic inner-city leftie who couldn’t make it in journalism so he decided to murder and dismember himself in a smear campaign against his generous employers.
