An Adelaide man has been left scratching his head after noticing that most, if not all of Queensland still has power – despite currently being under one of the most powerful tropical storms ever seen in Australia.
Casting his mind back to September last year, when a windy day plunged the free state into darkness, Peter Donald-Whiteley has been questioning his own reality after South Australia’s leaders said there was nothing that could’ve been done to prevent the blackout.
“All out lives, we’ve been taught to stare down our noses at the convict peasants that surround us on all sides,” said the 34-year-old wine broker.
“But yet, they have a cyclone that should hypothetically blow them back to the stone age and most of them still have power and mobile network coverage. Something is fishy here, something we need to get to the bottom of.”
