A resident from Betoota’s Fligh Path District seems no closer to heading to the tyre shop after entering a 3rd week driving around town on his cars space saver.

Beau Jane, 28, wound up with the spare on his trustywhip, after hitting a traffic island on his way out of the Dan Murphy’s car park recently.

“Ridiculous car park” Mr Jane said. “So I busted out the little yellow guy and chucked him on. At first i felt like a bit of a goose, but it’s actually not that bad when you get used to the steering”.

Locals have reported seeing Beau driving to work on a slight angle for a number of weeks now and have begun asking questions.

“How long can you keep those things on for?” said a neighbour. “Can’t be good for the axle” said another.

It’s Mr Janes parents, though, who have expressed the most concern.

“It’s worrying me” said his mother. “I hope he’s looking after himself. New tyres are reasonably priced these days”. His father chimed in. “He’s on the drugs. Driving ‘round stoned off his head, going in circles”.

Beau has assured us that he is fine and that it’s just time that’s been hard to come by.

“Hopefully next week”. he declared.

Updates will be provided as they come to hand.
