The nation’s most racist breakfast show is facing backlash again today, after making a glaring error.
Following the fallout from Ben Simmons decision to post a video detailing an experience where he was racially profiled at Melbourne’s Crown Casino, many looked to commercial television station’s to tell them everything is okay and that racism isn’t really a thing in Australia.
However, that message wasn’t conveyed this morning when Channel 7’s Sunrise completely forgot to tell Pauline Hanson they needed her for a live cross today.
Issuing an official apology via their social media channels this morning, Sunrise has confirmed there was an oversight in the production team when failing to get Terrorism, Indigenous Affairs, Racism and Political Correctness Expert Pauline Hanson on.
“We apologise to our viewers for not allowing Pauline to dog whistle on hot button issues this morning. It was a mistake and it won’t happen again,” the statement from the show who had Prue MacSween call for indigenous child removal last year.
It can be confirmed today that the Today Show also failed to get Pauline up, in a missed opportunity to strike a blow in the breakfast TV show battle.
“Don’t worry, we’ll try and get Miranda Devine or Andrew Bolt on tomorrow to provide some insight,” the Today show said.
