The controversial group of schoolboys from St Kevins have received some better news today.
The group who made headlines for a sexist chant on a public tram packed full of commuters have been informed that Sydney University is offering them full scholarships for their residential colleges!
In what seemed something close to consequences for their actions, the group of elite private students from the Melbourne school were reportedly set to be ‘dealt with’ by the principal who was fuming that this sort of stuff was put on display in front of the public.
However, while that public display of the well-known song has supposedly landed them in a bit of strife at school, it’s set to boost their tertiary education prospects.
“We are very pleased to confirm that we are offering all of those boys full scholarships to stay on our residential colleges,” explained a spokesperson for Sydney University called Col Saint-John.
“That kind of performance, that brazen sense of entitlement, that lack of awareness to understand that that song might not be appropriate in public when young children and women are around is exactly the type of student that will fit into our culture,” explained the spokesperson for residential colleges with a well-documented history of misogyny, sexism, and harassment.
“So we’d be honoured if the boys decided to move up north and don the Sydney Uni college gown.”
“Come on up boys! Let the hazing begin!”
