Shadow Minister for Education and Training Tanya Plibersek has today rocked up to the Parliament House rocking a fresh new hoodie.
The popular Member for Sydney displayed her new ALP sanctioned AntiSocialSocialClub as Labor faces renewed questions about Chinese influence over the party.
This follows revelations that the Chinese developer behind the multi-billion-dollar Gold Coast Jewel and One Circular Quay projects, Huang Xiangmo, handed over $100,000 in cash to former NSW Labor party boss Jamie Clements during a private meeting at his office, a corruption inquiry has heard.
That revelation is just one in a long line of murky dinners, meetings, comments and ceremonies taking place over the last few years involving politicians and influential Chinese business people and prominent figures.
While ALP figures have moved to assure the public that no one is going flat out Dastyari, the actions of Albo today drinking bubble tea, Shorten wearing a pollution mask and Plibersek rocking an ASSC hoodie has only caused more concern amongst the nation.
Plibersek refused to answer questions regarding her hoodie when asked by our reporters, choosing to bring up the dispute over the South China Sea instead.
“Who wants a sound bite on that?” said Plibersek.
“Or the pesky Hong Kong protestors?”
