The iconic American rapper and music producer, Kanye West (40), has today left Democrats in a panic – after confirming rumours that President Trump has secured the support of the reclusive music producer demographic.
The musician was seen strolling out of his office in Calabasas, California, on Wednesday wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat and his phone in hand after a full day of firing off controversial tweets in which he identified himself as a supporter of Donald Trump.
The fact that West’s ongoing personal issues have seen him take a hiatus and seek help over the few last years appeared to be completely lost on left-wing commentators who can’t believe he would stoop so low as pledging allegiance to the nation’s President.
A short while later, West said that he had spoken to his wife Kim Kardashian West about his previous tweets.
“My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone,” he wrote. “I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself.”
Despite contextualising his red MAGA hat for the masses, Kanye West’s vague affiliation with Donald Trump has the entire American federal opposition in a panic.
“We might have just lost the 2020 election” said Tom Perez, Chairman of the Democratic Party.
“They already won over the Ye in Kimye. If they get the other half of that word secured, we are done for”
