A gaggle of 17-year-old school-leavers have this afternoon taken part in an Australian right of passage.
That is, approaching a dodgy looking construction worker in a bottle shop car park, and asking if he can buy them a box of cruisers, with a commission.
Sarah, Annabel and Alycia finished school at a prominent Gosford Catholic school late last week, and are currently running low on the mid-strength alcopops that their parents hesitantly bought them – after dropping them off to the Gold Coast last week.
Usually, their friend Georgia buys the grog, but Georgia has met a guy and is currently rooting somewhere.
“ummm… [laughter]… Hey” says Sarah, after several minutes of psyche up from the other two.
The tradie in question, local tiler Andre said he was just walking to his car with a box of coronas for knock-off when he was met by the group of hyper-flirty young women.
“They were fucking nervous. They tried to lie and say they’d left their IDs at home and didn’t think they’d get served”
“I did point out that they should probably take off their Schoolies.com.au lanyards before trying to lie about their age”
“Anyway, I told them that a carton of cruisers was going for $150 bucks and that I’d need at least 50 on top of that.”

At time of press the girls were seen powering through the Pineapple vodka soft drinks and telling everyone how much they loved them.
