President Joe Biden has made a number of gaffes this morning that has only caused more nervousness within the Democrats.

Moments ago the President accidentally referred to his Vice President Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump” while answering the first question at a high-stakes press conference that aimed to convince the rest of his high-ranking Democratic officials to re-endorse him as their his candidate against his Republican rival.

This came only hours after he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin” in front of almost two dozen world leaders on Thursday night

These significant gaffes will only worsen the crisis that began engulfing his presidency after the 81-year-old unravel during a presidential debate two weeks ago.

However, despite the growing calls from both outside and within his own party, Biden remains firm that he is more than up to the job of defeating Richard Nixon in November.

Speaking to The Betoota Advocate this morning, Biden says that while he has high hopes for the political careers of his younger Democrat colleagues like Bill Clinton and Al Gore – they will simply have to wait their turn.

“The same thing happened with me when JFK was nominated” he said.

“I felt I was more than ready to run as President in ’61. But I was only a spring chicken. I was too old for the Vietnam war, sure. But too young for President”

On Thursday, several US media outlets reported concerns among Mr Biden’s inner circle that his decision to fight the election will lose the Democrats the presidency and both branches of Congress in November.

Biden says that while he refutes the accusations that he is too old to be the President of the United States, his greatest concern with standing down is that he could very well be replaced by one of those pro-segregation Democrats like the Alabama Governor George Wallace.

MORE TO COME.
