A Dawn Service on NSW’s Mid North Coast has taken an uncomfortable turn this morning, after local man Arj Barker caused a bit of a scene.

The ‘International Comedian’ who has been touring Australia for so long he now attends Anzac Day services in his community, reportedly asked a young mother to remove herself from the gathering.

With the solemn service taking place at the local Memorial Park, Barker apparently called for a halt to proceedings to take the mother to task about her young child.

“Lady, the baby, get rid of it!” said Arj, grabbing the mic off the President of the local RSL.

With people amongst the crowd trying to calm the situation, Barker said the baby was distracting the flow of the respective speakers.

“They can’t hit their beats,” said the man who is supposed to be able to work rooms full of all sorts of people.

The consternation comes after the culture wars machine went into overdrive this week, following Barker’s decision to evict a mother from his comedy show in Melbourne.

Claiming that comedy shows are not the right place for babies, it appears as though Barker may lay out some more of his guidelines on where it is acceptable for a young mother looking to get out of the house to go.

“Time and a place,” said Arj, giving his dog a tug on the lead before it latched onto someones shoelaces.

The mother has yet to comment on the issue, but a multitude of commercial radio and tv stations are already frantically trying to track her down.
